Anthony Ray Sharpe’s life did not begin with certainty. It began with a vision.
About ANTHONY SHARPE
Anthony Ray Sharpe
At the age of seventeen, Anthony received a vision from God. It was vivid, unmistakable, and deeply personal. But as with many things that are given before their time, its meaning was not immediately clear. He carried it with him through the years that followed: through seasons of challenge, confusion, and perseverance. Through the kind of living that strips away the superficial and forces a person to confront what is truly within them.
Fifteen years later, at the age of thirty-two, the Lord revealed the full meaning of that early vision. Anthony had accepted the call upon his life, and with that acceptance came clarity. Not the easy clarity of sudden inspiration, but the hard-won clarity of a man who had walked through difficulty and chosen, again and again, to keep moving forward in God’s purpose.
His years of study in the intersection of theology, philosophy, and the lived experience of faith led him to a singular conviction: that every human being is a triad of flesh, soul, and spirit, and that the greatest war any person will ever face is not external but internal. It is the war within. The conflict between appetite and conscience, between emotion and truth, between the self we present to the world and the spirit God breathed into us.
Anthony’s deep study of these three dimensions of human existence, drawing from Hebrew scripture, Greek philosophy, and the long tradition of Christian theology, has sharpened his spiritual discernment and strengthened his walk. He teaches that understanding the divine design and interaction of flesh, soul, and spirit is not an academic exercise. It is essential for anyone seeking true peace and genuine alignment with God.
His debut book, The Enemy of My Best Friend Is Me, is the product of that long journey. It is written not as a lecture from a distance but as a testimony from within. Anthony has lived through the three levels of life he describes in its pages, and his prayer is that this work will help readers recognize the same battles within themselves and discover that while the enemy may often be us, the victory can also be found within, when the spirit is surrendered to God.
